A.Born in Chicago, raised in both Chicago and Michigan City, Indiana.
Q2.How was it coming up in your household?
A.It was wild, gunshots and gangbangin and drug dealing 24/7.
Q3.Was you a good or bad kid coming up?
A.I was definitely a bad kid, but I was an intelligent bad kid lol. Always fighting and gangbangin', gettin' locked up all the time, but I kept the best grades.
Q4.What made you become a writer?
A.I was in a cell alone, reading Nikki Turner's books A Hustler's Wife and Project Chick. They were so horrible to me that I said "fuck it, I can do this". So I started writing and never stopped. Plus I've always wanted to write since I was a kid, and reading K'wan's books inspired me too.
Q5.What was your first book that you ever written?
A.First book I ever wrote was titled "Shoot First", wrote it when I was 17, never published it.
Q6.Do you write from experience or do you write from the mind?
A.Both. I'm a street guy, a gunslinger, a real Chicago mob member, but I still study to bring other subjects into my writing.
Q7.Do you express yourself through your writing?
A.Yeah, kinda. Most of my main male characters act like me.
Q8.Is writing something you see yourself doing forever?
A.Absolutely.
Q9.How did you come with cocaine princess as a titled?
A.It was actually titled "A Long Walk Backwards" at first, I changed it to appeal more to the street lit crowd.
Q10. The characters in cocaine princess are they real or fiction?
A.Blake, T-Walk, Cup and a few others are actually friends that have been killed in real life, and a lot of the other character's are real people just wit' different last names.
Q11.Which character in all of your books that you can relate too?
A.Blake.
Q12.Which female character you enjoy writing about?
A.Alexus.
Q13.If u could date anyone of your female character who would that be and why?
A.Nauti, 'cause I love that country girl lol.
Q14.How did you come up with the story too gangsta son?
A.A lot of that is true. A Gangsta's Son is about my Chicago hood, just modernized it and changed some stuff, added in some drama.
Q15.Out of all your books which one is your favorite and why?
A.The Cocaine Princess 5, because I love that story so damn much lol.
Q16.What type of books you enjoy reading?
A.I enjoy reading James Patterson, K'wan, Donald Goines, John Grisham, Eric Jerome Dickey, and many others. Especially Stephen King and K'wan though.
Q17.Who is your favorite author/ book?
A.K'wan.
Q18.Out of all the writing family's out here what made you join Leo Sullivan family?
A.Because Leo is my second favorite black author.
Q19.If you could do a book with any author who would that be and why?
A.K'wan, 'cause he's the best.
Q20.What other talent you have beside writing?
A.I can also rap and draw.
Q21.If you was not writing what else you been doing?
A.I'd still be selling dope.
Q22.where u see yourself In 5 years?
A.Still in prison and hopefully on the New York Times bestsellers list.
Q23.Is there on moment in your life good or bad that you wish that you can rewind and keep on pause and why?
A.Yup. Before I got arrested, my ex girlfriend and I stayed a night at hotel on Chicago's southside. Best night of my life.
Q24.What is one thing you want people to know about you? Business or personal
A.I'm a nice guy, but I'm a gangsta.
Q25.Name one thing that you hate seeing in the writing game and why?
A.Bitch niggas gossiping like lil girls.
Q26. If you can help another person out from life experience what would say?
A.Show love, not hate. Hating got a lot of people killed in Chicago and all across black America. We must love each other first and foremost. 😊
